World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Upgrades to items allow players to boost an item's gear score up to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance, a perfectly roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons also have an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a unit. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of the base. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative consequences. Upgrades can make things impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to boost their stats. This can boost the base defense of a helm or chest while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it can sometimes change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will get when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button, which is accompanied by arrows that circle in the item menu. This will reroll an item and alter its stats but it will not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.
Armor
A few tweaks to your armor could make a a huge difference in your ability to endure. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to poison, curses and fire as well as magic. This makes it easier to navigate difficult areas. Generally speaking, the more defense your character is, the more value you will get from each point of health you possess, so it's important to improve your armor as much as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and in order to unlock them all, you have to complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the corresponding fountain, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required for each level will differ. In general, you're looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to withstand an entire raid with a few of your friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll need to focus on upgrading it for physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to unlock some perks on your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades for the helmets and chest armor to let you sneak around some monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, give the player an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five different types of potions, each having particular effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. upgrade item of upgrading varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potions, right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you select the potions that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
When a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade in the event that you make use of it again or break the bottle in the container it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
There were a few updates to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For example the splash potions now have a duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item). The table for potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.
In addition, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a tiny and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but isn't important such as a trinket. In certain cultures, a trinket can be used to express friendship or affection between family members.
upgrade item can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons and armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.
The upgrade of a trinket can be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new one. You can upgrade a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same level of base as the previous trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Once the old Trinkets have become not usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players which makes them a popular alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries and then other items of gear will not be replaced in the near future (for example, a ring or cloak). When deciding on the items to upgrade, players should also take into account the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player, then they should upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.
When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1percent bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
